2012 is here! and its time to kind of round up some of the reader favorites and some of ours from 2011. Heres hoping 2012 will bring lots more fun posts and and more friends! Happy 2012 everyone. Most popular!.. reader’s favorites.

I dint expect these to make it big.. I mean I just had some apples and was in the mood for some fritters and made these up.. Super fun though!

Another addictive glutenfree snack! I think its the picture which made it that big.. I love this photo.. perfectly sunny day and the right camera settings.. one lucky picture!

Like I need to say anything about these..

Another simple glutenfree breakfast or snack! I’ve started adding so much Kale to this.. since once of my 2012 resolutions is Eat more Kale!!

There’s a little quinoa in these to make them even more chewy.. a bit like lacey cookies.

Strawberry Blueberry Apple, Wheat, Oats, Quinoa.. all in one bread loaf!
These got hit because GJs are one very addictive and very non vegan indian sweet, usually made of milk powder and milk solids, fried and soaked in flavored sugar syrup, somewhat like a rich and milky soaked doughnut. But now you can have this vegan version!

I usually dont make white breads.. but I wanted to recreate the melt in your mouth dinner rolls without the butter and eggs. and heres a super liked dinner roll/burger bun/pita/naan or anything, versatile dough! These also made it to TheKitchn!

The all year most popular are a bit skewed, since the newer posts havent gotten enough time to become that popular:)
Some of my other faves .. though it is very difficult to choose.. 🙂
I saw an oatmeal only gf cookie at chocolate covered Katie, and I wanted to add some fun element to it.. voila.. puffed rice! puffed rice make the cookie a bit lighter and chewy at the same time!

These cute little patties are super fun!

This was on fun savory fat flat bread, which we used for sandwiches and with dips!
Tempeh cooked in spicy broth, then grilled a little and served with grilled veggies and grilled fruits.. try some grilled peaches in the sandwich.
A simple light summer pasta meal.. Grilled zukes, pesto and cherry tomatoes.
And lots of lots of favorite cookies.. crisp Pistachio almond thumbprints, banana muffin tops, candied beet thins and so many more .. all under the Cookie tag! and the currently popular Naan- plain, avocado, Garlic and Stuffed! This virtual party is being hosted at Lite Bite.

Thank you all so much for the support.. With our slow, steady and permanent transition to a vegan diet all through the year and whole bunch of experiments, developing new tastes, veganizing old favorites, creating intriguing combinations and recipes and the best of all you all trying them and loving them! May this year bring you a lot of love, happiness, courage, prosperity, good health and solutions to all your problems.

Great collection & round up of your readers’ favorites! It’s good to see what everyone has loved most, and I swear apple fritters are the first I’m gonna try!
How was your new years, Richa?

I’m glad you made this list! There are so many things I want to try, all in one place. The garam masala chickpeas, apple fries, and puda look especially good. I got rid of my non-stick pans a few years ago; do you think I could make them in a stainless steel pan? Or would they stick too badly?
