If you are like me, you probably don’t much like most protein powders. The chalky taste, the aftertaste and just pain to blend. I have generally had good luck with Vega protein products.
So, I usually add a flavor boost to mine, like this one with a cinnamon sugar crumble that is blended in and used as garnish. It adds a texture as well as flavor burst to the shake. Pictured, french vanilla shake and chocolate shake with the snickerdoodle crumble!

I’ve only tried pea protein powder before! It was sort of chalky, so I’d love to try Vega powder! I actually have a sample pack of their sport powder in my pantry now, ready to be tried!
I’ve tried many vegan/vegetarian protein powders, and I’ve become very particular about what I like and don’t like. Admittedly, I love the powders that thicken up and mix nicely with water. I don’t like to add unnecessary calories from almond or other nut-based milk. That being said, my protein powder of choice must have some flavor but not too sweet. When I’ve had my serving of protein, I do not want to keep craving it! I need to feel full and satiated. Cost is also a consideration, although I’m willing to pay the premium for a high quality product. Another one of my criteria is unnecessary ingredients, especially artificial ingredients. I’d rather have no flavor than junk fillers. To get to the point, all of the reasons listed above are reasons why Vega protein is one of my top choices or go-tos for protein powders! I have not tried their vega one shake or protein, as I haven’t run out of my current Vega Sport stock. 🙂
My fave is hemp protein powder and I make raw energy bars with it!
Love vega to put in my smoothies pre & post workout!
I use Sunwarrior protein powder.
I order custom protein order blends online from true nutrition.com. they offer different protein sources so it’s easy to get a variety.
I use Vega 1 every morning with tumeric and ginger, lots of blueberries and greens for a spicy sweet smoothie!
I love the Plant Fusion vanilla bean with greens pineapple and banana. Every single morning!
I use Purum Power Shake. i don’t know if this qualifies as a protein shake per se. if i desire more protein i add raw egg.
Vega, of course! Use it every morning in a smoothie with spinach, fruit, and.coconut oil.
