If you are like me, you probably don’t much like most protein powders. The chalky taste, the aftertaste and just pain to blend. I have generally had good luck with Vega protein products.
So, I usually add a flavor boost to mine, like this one with a cinnamon sugar crumble that is blended in and used as garnish. It adds a texture as well as flavor burst to the shake. Pictured, french vanilla shake and chocolate shake with the snickerdoodle crumble!

I love the Vega One Vanilla! Use it almost every morning in smoothies and also love to make my own protein bars with it!
I just started using Vega, and I love it. I love the addition of the crumble on this shake!
I usually always use Vega or Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods 🙂
PlantFusion! I love making protein frosting with it!
Right now my favorite protein powder is Rawfit although I still need to try out more. I put the protein powder in my smoothies, cookies and pancakes for extra oomph !
I like both Sun Warrior and Vega best. Aside from smoothies, I love sneaking protein powders into granola bars or making peanut butter fluff (1 T peanut butter, 2 T protein powder, 3 T almond milk) to go on top of…everything!
So far, my favorite shake mix is VeganSmart in Chai flavor. I like to make my version of an oatmeal cookie smoothie with it. In a blender, I put a handful of spinach with an inch or so of water and blend it up then I put half a frozen banana, 1/4 cup of ground oats (that I grind up in the coffee grinder, first), a scoop of VeganSmart Chai, then I add 1 cup of almond milk, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg and pinch of salt and a tsp of organic maple syrup. Blend it all up adding more milk or an ice cube or two for consistency’s sake.
Yum.
I’ve never had plant based protein powder, but I’d love to try.
I like Orgain organic protein powder. I drink it with milk.
